HORTI VIENNA - Comprehensive and international

HORTI VIENNA - Horticulture and Market Gardening Technology Trade Fair for Central and Eastern Europe - takes place from September 27 - 29 2011 in exhibition centre Vienna.

Professional cultivation of crop and ornamental plants in Austria is characterised by two important factors:

Austria is also seen as a model and close partner for horticultural development in neighbouring Central European countries. The relationships that have grown over the years are manifest in the close human ties and networking in this field.

Until now, there have not been any comparable trade fairs in Austria or neighbouring Central European countries to meet the need for information in the horticultural industry, provide for interactive communication or support an exchange of knowledge.

What the honorary sponsors think of HORTI VIENNA

Federal Association of Austrian Gardeners, President Ök.-Rat Gtm. Albert Trinkl:
„As a large association of Austrian gardeners we regard ourselves as a link with the federal ministry and the chambers of agriculture. The high standard of our gardeners is the result of our many years of work. A key event like HORTI VIENNA supports our function. Quality needs good products, innovative discussions and the exchange of views between experts.”

Austrian Market Gardening Association, General Manager Ing. Stefan Hamedinger:
„Market gardening in Austria stands out for its high degree of professionalism. Our products are known throughout Europe, a role that must be maintained and developed. We therefore see our association as not only representing the interests of our members inAustria, but also as a nationwide “voice” for the whole European region in global competition. HORTI VIENNA enables our members to obtain an international overview of specific products and solutions “on their own doorstep”. We will use the exhibition to help us meet the specific demands of our daily work.”

Austrian Chamber of Agriculture, President Ök.-Rat Gerhard Wlodkowski: „Our horticultural and market gardening firms are among the leaders in Europe. The professional advice from the Chambers of Agriculture and the exchange of views between the gardeners and market gardeners ensure that Austria will continue to play a leading role in this very important sector of the economy in the future. An essential aspect of securing this lead is investment in optimum technological solutions. The new trade fair for horticultural technology, HORTI VIENNA, therefore covers the right subject. The venue in Vienna will also make sure that this event reaches our colleagues in the neighbouring eastern countries.”

Vienna – the ideal location
Messe Wien (Vienna exhibition centre) is also a firm favourite due to its exceptional, central location in the heart of the city. It has two U-Bahn (underground transport) stations all to itself just a few steps from the main entrances. Connections to the international airport, motorway and rail network are ideal. Situated just 20 minutes by taxi from Vienna International Airport, Messe Wien offers a pleasant environment between the green Prater and the nearby Danube.
There are numerous hotels within walking distance at the heart of a completely redeveloped district, the “Viertel Zwei” (quarter two), also the location of the newly founded Vienna University of Vienna.   >> Travel & Accomodation
